Fortnite Update 18.10 Patch Notes: Release Date, Downtime, Chili Chug Splash, Super Styles & Halloween Skins

Big news for Fortnite players. Fortnite update 18.10 is about to be released and since season 8 premiered, it is going to be the first major update. The update is expected to introduce some exciting changes and new features.

Fortnite season 8 was launched with a bang, players had the opportunity to enjoy new weapons, some incredible skins that were available to unlock within the Fortnite Battle Pass. But, with only two weeks under its belt, the first patch of the latest season has now gone live. 

In addition to new skins like the Curdle Scream Leader, this update is introducing a new item called the Chili Chug Splash, debuts this season’s Super Styles for the Battle Pass, and gives Steamy Stacks some changes.

Fortnite Update 18.10 Downtime

The update was expected to be released on September 28, 2021, with downtime starting at 4am EST (9am BST) and lasting around an hour. The game is now live once again with the new update including new skins, weapons, and items.

New item: Chili Chug Splash

A new item chug splash has arrived in the current update. This item is called as Chili Chug Splash. The item will restore 20 Health or shield and will also increase the speed like eating a red chili.

The item will be available for exchange with Gold Bars along with The Brat or will be dropped by Loot Llamas. Only lucky players will find them. In addition to this OG Chug splash is also back to the loot pool in this update. 

Super Level Styles Have Arrived

In every season and update, EPIC tries to introduce rare versions of current battle pass skins that can be achieved only by reaching level 100. However, in Fortnite 18.10 update, season 8’s super styles have arrived. These super styles include Purple Rune, Blue Rune, and Golden Rune.

 

New ‘Fortnitemares’ Halloween Skins

A bunch of Halloween-themed skins also has been added to the game. These skins are yet not available in store but are expected to be available for purchase in the next couple of weeks. “Geometrik” is one of such Halloween Themed skin and a horrible variation of Cuddle Team Leader known as the Curdle Scream Leader.

Steamy Stacks Has Been Damaged

Following the incomplete snatching of numerous POIs toward the finish of Season 7, it appears to be Steamy Stacks is the main area to be changed in Season 8, with leakers sharing pictures of it looking pretty harmed. 

Apparently, this is the consequence of another Cube that is additionally showed up at the area, albeit Epic have prodded that something might have "got away starting from the earliest stage"… this is in anticipation of Fortnitemares?
