As the game approaches 45 million downloads worldwide, Krafton has unveiled the first big post-launch upgrade for PUBG: New State. The second volume of the Survivor Pass is now available, allowing players to gain access to a number of additional in-game goodies. New vehicles, a new weapon, gun customization choices, and other features have been added to PUBG Studios’ new free-to-play next-generation mobile battle royale game.

Highlights of new update:

  • New vehicles, a new weapon, gun customization options and more have been added.
  • This first major update for PUBG: New State is playable now for Android and iOS users.

Players of PUBG: New State on Android and iOS can get the update via their respective app stores. The update’s modifications will be obvious as soon as you enter the game, with a new lobby theme that celebrates the forthcoming Christmas season. Throughout the season, there will be a number of in-game events, including weekend play events and the “Winter Festival Challenge,” in which players can acquire the “Crimson Snowflake – M416” weapon skin. Aside from that, here’s a rundown of everything new in PUBG: New State for your next gaming session.

New Additions of PUBG: New State's Update

The Survivor Pass is based on Bell, a member of the Dream Runners Faction in the game. Players will be able to earn all of Bella’s costumes by completing a variety of “storey tasks.” Players can also upgrade to a Premium Pass to unlock more vehicle skins and character costumes, as well as receive 1,500 NC when they achieve Level 48.

New Vehicles

Electron

The Electron, an electric six-seater minibus with greater durability compared to other vehicles in the game, is one of two new vehicles coming to the game. Electron is a more durable vehicle than other cars, and it allows a group of players to transfer seats while inside. For the time being, it will only be available in Troi and Training Ground.

Maesta

The Mesta, a two-seater historic sports automobile with rapid acceleration and high speeds, is also coming to the game. The other new vehicle is the Mesta, a traditional two-seater sports automobile with fast acceleration and high top speeds.

New Weapons

The latest PUBG: New State patch introduces the L85A3 assault rifle, which promises moderate recoil at the expense of fire rate. The weapon is a Bullpup assault rifle that fires 5.56mm ammo and is ideal for mid- to long-range firefights. The L85A3 assault rifle is expected to deliver the most damage of any 5.56 assault rifle. In both Erangel and Troi, the L85A3 can be found. Players can now receive the L85A3, a new assault rifle with reduced recoil, as part of this new update. The L85A3 has a lesser firing rate than other assault rifles in the game, but it has the highest damage output of all the 5.56m assault rifles in the game, making it a strong choice for engaging foes at mid-to-long ranges.

New Customizations

The M416, SLR, and L85A3 rifles all have new customization possibilities. The M416 can now be equipped with a Long Barrel to boost damage at the cost of higher vertical recoil. The SLR will be able to use a 5.56mm barrel, which will improve fire accuracy at the expense of damage. The new L85A3 assault rifle can also be equipped with a Vertical Foregrip Bipod, which reduces vertical recoil and allows for more controlled recoil while crouched or prone. When employing the Vertical Foregrip Bipod, however, the L85A3’s ADS speed will be lowered.

New Merit Point System

A new Merit Point System has been implemented to encourage positive play. In addition, Krafton has implemented a new penalty system to penalize undesirable behavior in the game. According to the update, if a survivor uses Friendly Fire or engages in other sorts of undesirable behavior, their Merit Points will be reduced. A lower score will result from many reports. If the player’s Merit Points fall below a certain threshold, he or she will be unable to play Squad Mode. Players who have been penalized will have to work their way up in Merit Points by playing Solo Mode. Players will lose Merit Points if they are reported for undesirable conduct such as team kills. If their Merit Points fall below a certain threshold, they will be unable to play Squad Mode until they earn more Merit Points through Solo play.
